Artist Grant Programs
The Cable Hayward Area Arts Council offers two types of Emerging Artist Grants: Emerging Artist Education Grant and Art Supply Grants.
These programs are available to artists 13-18 years old (youth) and those 19 and older (adult).
Emerging Artist Education Grant provides funding for educational opportunities, such as a weekend workshop or summer camp in visual, performing or literary arts.
Guidelines (Youth) (Adult) and Applications (Youth) (Adult) can be picked up at Art Beat or downloaded from this site. Applicants will be asked to provide information about themselves and their art interests, as well as include background information on the event, workshop or camp they wish to attend. CHARAC requires a full report from the recipient about their experience.
The Art Supply Grant Program also makes funds available for local young artist with financial needs to purchase supplies. Application here.
Those interested in the art supply portion of the program should contact Deanna Persson at Art Beat of Hayward for an application or download one from this web site. Supplies for visual artists will be available through Art Beat. If other types of supplies are needed, the applicant must procure an invoice of items and prices from the necessary vendor and submit it along with their application to CHARAC, P.O. Box 182, Cable, Wisconsin, 54821.
Applicants in both categories will be eligible for awards in consecutive years if their follow-up reports have been submitted to CHARAC at the above address.
